Where does the conference data come from?

We capture and profile each conference based on the publicly available data to anyone. We then calculate gender stats and percentile against all other profiled events.

Why the binary gendering?

I know, this is a crude way to calculate stats that does not reflect the world we live in. Unfortunately, for now, since we compare our stats against industry data provided by the US Department of Labor for average women working in tech we are somewhat limited by what they provide. As we continue to grow out Comprend Us it is top of mind on how to better capture this across all genders for all tech conferences.

How do I get my conference included?

We'd love to get your conference included! Best way to get started is to email us at hello@comprend.us. We'll work with you to make sure we have all th correct information listed and let you know what we need to calculate your stats.

Can I give feedback (comments) on a conference?

Not yet. We are working out the best way to capture conference feedback, but want to be sure we do it in a way that allows space for honest, constructive feedback, in a way that highlights the good and encourages conference to improve in areas they can. More to come on this as we work through the details.

The data for my conference is wrong. How do I update it?

We are still working through the ability to claim a conference it so that you as an owner can keep it updated for all of your events. Until that is ready, we are continuing to manually update as needed. If you spot anything no longer correct, please email us at hello@conprend.us
